Kira returns, people are shocked, and Athrun starts to make up his mind! Also, we get a glimpse into the PLANTs’ seed underbelly(ies?) and their secret underlord: Lacus "Shank You With My Silly Collar” Clyne. Yet another mobile suit gets stolen! Now that’s what I call Justice.
Secret Agent Mu-man returns with dire information for the Archangel, just late enough to be useless! The crew, meanwhile, is preparing to take its collective last breath. But what’s this? A bird? A plane? A multi-billion dollar government secret project? That’s right, it’s Kira! All your (white) base are belong to him, as he declares himself a sovereign nation because nukes.
Sometimes, all you need is the right motivation to do something amazing. In Kira’s case, that’s preventing all of his friends from dying painful deaths! Join us in watching a boy become a man, but also a man with some still pretty… well, idealistic ideals. However, he has a giant nuke robot (spoilers!) to help him achieve those goals. Also, the crew of the Archangel parts ways, and Yzak gets a promotion (to his new album, obvo).
I don’t have much to say about this one. Both the episode of the show and our episode about it are super dense this time around, and it gets really real! Also, there are some gorgeous fights, regardless of which version you’re watching. Get it!
After two slow episodes, its time for everything to kick off, in our longest episode yet! (Geremy’s Pretty sure its the longest anyway). Sexy Ramba Ral and his sexy wife take on Kira Yamato, Mu La Flaga and the top scorer of Earth Alliance Flight Simulator. Who will survive?
Frankly, one of the better contrivances I’ve seen for a clip episodes: the main character is having a fever-induced flashback sequence! Also, the supporting cast is reminiscing or something, I guess. We also get to see the origin of Coordinators, and learn the story of George “Good At Everything” Glenn! More importantly, though, we get an introduction to the most important character in the series: DaCosta!
